The ILVE Nostalgie range offers powerful and precise gas burners, including standard and dual-ring configurations. This guide provides an overview of how to properly ignite and control your burners, as well as safety features to be aware of when cooking.
Understanding the burner operation is essential for performance, safety, and proper ignition.
Step-by-Step Operation
Standard Burner Operation
-
Press and turn the knob.
Press in the burner knob and turn it counterclockwise to the ignition position. -
Hold for ignition.
Keep the knob pressed in for about 5 seconds to allow the burner to ignite.
Dual-Ring Burner Operation
-
Ignite both rings.
Press in the knob and turn it to the first position. Hold it there for about 5 seconds to light both the internal and external rings. -
Switch between flame zones.
Turn the knob to the second position to shut off the outer ring while keeping the inner ring lit. Switch freely between using the full burner or just the internal ring depending on your cooking needs.
🛡️ Built-In Safety Feature:
Thermocouple-Controlled Valve
All ILVE burners are equipped with a thermocouple-controlled safety valve.
If the flame goes out due to a blowout, liquid spill, or other interruption,
the gas supply automatically shuts off to prevent unsafe gas flow.

⚠️ Important Note:
To bypass the safety valve during ignition, keep the burner knob pressed in
for at least 5 seconds. This allows the thermocouple time
to warm up and maintain gas flow.
