Inside The Oasis: A Modern Tudor Kitchen in Utah Featuring an ILVE Majestic Range
A Kitchen Designed as Architecture: Inside The Oasis Modern Tudor Home in Utah
There are kitchens designed to function.
And then there are kitchens designed to define a home.
At The Oasis, an 8,915 square foot Modern Tudor residence set against the dramatic backdrop of Utah Valley, the kitchen is not simply a place to cook, it is a central architectural statement. A space where material, form, and intention converge to create something enduring.
This is not a kitchen that follows trends.
It’s one that establishes presence.
Where Architecture Leads
Designed by Hansen Design Firm in collaboration with Jewkes Design, the kitchen reflects a philosophy that prioritizes structure over decoration.
Arched alcoves carve into warm wood millwork.
A sculptural plaster hood becomes a focal point.
Fluted cabinetry introduces rhythm and depth.
Every element feels integrated, intentional rather than applied.
The palette is restrained yet rich:
natural wood tones, soft ivory plaster, aged brass, and layered stone surfaces. The result is a space that feels both grounded and refined, echoing the surrounding Utah landscape while elevating the interior experience.
The Range as the Anchor
At the heart of the kitchen sits the defining element:
the ILVE Majestic III 48” Dual Fuel Range in Antique White with Brass Trim.
Handcrafted in Campodarsego, Italy, this range was not selected to disappear into the design. It was chosen to anchor it.
Its presence is deliberate.
The Antique White finish softens the composition, while the brass detailing introduces warmth and contrast, echoing the surrounding material palette without competing with it.
This is what distinguishes true luxury design:
not excess, but balance.
And within that balance, a focal point that holds everything together.
Designed for Living, Not Display
While the design is striking, it never loses sight of its purpose.
The expansive stone island invites gathering—morning coffee, casual meals, evening conversations. Integrated lighting and thoughtful layout support both daily routines and large-scale entertaining.
This is a kitchen meant to be used.
To be lived in.
To evolve with the rhythms of the home.
Because the most successful kitchens aren’t just beautiful, they’re experienced.
A Study in Material and Permanence
Throughout The Oasis, materials are layered with intention:
- Stone surfaces that feel substantial and enduring
- Wood millwork that adds warmth and structure
- Metal accents that introduce contrast and refinement
- Matte finishes that soften light and reduce visual noise
Together, these elements create a sense of permanence, an environment designed not for the moment, but for decades.
This philosophy mirrors the ILVE approach itself:
products built not to be replaced, but to remain.
The New Standard of Kitchen Design
The Oasis represents a broader shift in how luxury kitchens are conceived.
No longer treated as separate from architecture, the kitchen is now fully integrated into the identity of the home. It is where design, functionality, and lifestyle converge.
And increasingly, it is where statement pieces, like the ILVE Majestic range, serve as both tool and centerpiece.
Because in spaces like this, the kitchen is no longer just where meals happen.
It’s where life unfolds.
