Overview
The broiler function in Nostalgie ovens uses upper heating elements to deliver direct radiant heat for browning and finishing food. Unlike TFT-based models, Nostalgie ovens rely on an electronic programmer and manual function selection, meaning proper activation depends on correct knob positioning and timer settings.
During operation, the broiler does not remain continuously on—it cycles to regulate temperature. This is normal and often misinterpreted as a malfunction. Additionally, if the oven is not set to manual mode, the broiler may not activate at all.
According to the manual, the oven must be properly set out of automatic mode and into manual operation before use . If this step is missed, heating functions—including broil—may appear inactive.
