Overview
The oven fan in Professional Plus models supports both heat distribution and cooling during and after operation. It is normal to hear airflow, especially during preheating, cooking, and cooldown cycles.
Compared to Majestic and Panoramagic, Professional Plus ovens rely more on traditional heating with assisted airflow rather than full convection. Because of this, fan noise may vary depending on temperature, cooking mode, and oven load.
In many cases, perceived noise is caused by airflow interaction with racks, trays, or food positioning inside the oven. These sounds can change depending on how the oven is loaded and how air circulates within the cavity.
If the noise becomes unusually loud, includes grinding, rattling, or scraping, or does not change under different conditions, it may indicate debris interference, airflow restriction, or a mechanical issue requiring further inspection.
Common Causes
If unusual fan noise is present, the issue is typically related to:
- Normal airflow during cooking or cooling
- Cooling fan operation after cooking
- Rack or tray placement affecting airflow
- Food load disrupting air circulation
- Debris or grease near the fan area
- Moisture after cleaning
- Airflow interaction with oven components
Operational Note
- Fan runs during cooking and after shutdown — this is normal
- Sound may increase with temperature and load
- Air movement inside the oven is stronger than standard ovens
A light airflow or humming sound is normal.
Grinding, scraping, or loud vibration is not normal and should be addressed.

Step 1: Confirm when the noise occurs
Steps:
- Turn oven on and set to a standard temperature (e.g., 350°F)
- Listen during preheat, cooking, and after turning off
Result interpretation:
- Noise during cooking only → Normal operation
- Noise continues after oven is off → Cooling fan (normal)
- Noise is loud or irregular → Continue diagnosis
Step 2: Check for airflow obstruction
Steps:
- Turn off oven and allow to cool
- Inspect rear interior panel and fan area
Result:
- Remove foil, trays, or items touching the rear wall
- Ensure airflow openings are clear
Step 3: Inspect oven interior for debris
Steps:
- Check for food particles, grease, or residue
Action:
- Clean oven interior
- Remove any loose debris
Step 4: Check rack and tray placement
Steps:
- Review rack positions
- Check spacing between trays
Action:
- Use center rack as baseline
- Avoid trays touching oven walls
- Space items evenly
Step 5: Check for recent cleaning or moisture

Result:
- Moisture present → Allow oven to fully dry

Step 8: Identify unsafe conditions

- Do NOT continue use

- Contact service

- Noise is loud, grinding, or persistent
